Connecting your phone system to the Intercom

The front door intercom works over standard copper phone lines and will already be setup. All you need to do is plug in a standard phone to the main socket in your suite.

Visitors to your suite will then dial # at the front door followed by your suite number (eg#18) which can then be answered via your telephone and access gained for your visitor by pressing the 9 button on your handset. Please note the door handle needs to be turned to open the door, often visitors just pull.

If you need assistance connecting your telephone system to the intercom please contact Cage Security to arrange a site visit.

Having trouble with your Intercom since connecting to NBN?

Some tenants who have switched over to the NBN have had trouble re-connecting their intercom. The issue is that the NBN cabling and phone systems that are installed are no longer compatible with the intercom. The fix for those with new NBN connections, simply keep a handset plugged into the old phone sockets for the intercom to work.
